Der zweite Teil unserer Teeniestar Serie von Cover(ed) beschäftigt sich mit dem Markensong der jungen Christina Aguilera. Während Hurt die reife, sich selbst reflektierende Künstlerin versinnbildlich wollen wir uns hier mit ihrer ersten Single beschäftigen Genie In A Bottle.

Der Song war die erste Auskoppelung aus dem selbst betitelten Debütalbum der Sängerin. Er schaffte ihre Image als sexualisierte Pop-Kindsfrau.
Er handelt von einer jungen Frau, deren Gefühlswelt durch ihre erwachende Sexualität auf den Kopf gestellt wurde.
Durchaus gelungen, der Reggaeton Remix.
